الإسكوا ومجموعة من الشركاء تُطلق مبادرة “جُسور” للحد من أوجه عدم المساواة في المنطقة العربيّة
في إطار جهودها للحدّ من أوجه عدم المساواة التي تعاني منها المنطقة العربيّة، لا سيّما وأن البطالة بين الشباب وصلت فيها إلى 26%، وهي النسبة الأعلى في العالم، أطلقت لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغربي آسيا (الإسكوا) اليوم مبادرة “جُسور”، وذلك بالشراكة مع مجموعة باثفايندرز من أجل مجتمعات سلميّة وعادلة وشاملة، واتحاد المصارف العربيّة، واتحاد الغرف العربيّة، ومجموعة كبيرة من شركات القطاع الخاص والمؤسسات غير الحكوميّة في المنطقة العربيّة.
و “جُسور” هي مبادرة إقليميّة تهدُف إلى الحد من أوجه عدم المساواة عبر إيجاد فرص للشابات والشباب وتحسين مهاراتهم وتيسير تدريبهم لشَغل الوظائف المناسبة.
افتتحت النجمة اللبنانيّة إليسا، التي تمّ اختيارها الوجه الإعلامي لـ “جُسور”، جلسة الإعلان عن المبادرة بكلمةٍ شدّدت فيها على ضرورة دعم الشباب في المنطقة العربيّة التي تعاني بلدانها من أزمات متعددة ومن أشكال مختلفة لعدم المساواة، داعيةً الجميع لبذل الجهود في هذا الإطار كلّ بحسب موقعه وقدراته.
تمّ إطلاق هذه المبادرة ضمن فعاليّات المنتدى العربي الأول من أجل المساواة الذي عُقد في عمّان، الأردن، يومي 30 و31 أيار/مايو بمشاركة عدد كبير من الوزراء في المنطقة، وخبراء إقليميّين ودولييّن، وأكاديميّين، وشباب، وممثلين عن وسائل إعلاميّة.
وقالت الأمينة التنفيذية للإسكوا رولا دشتي إن المطلوب اليوم للحد من أوجه عدم المساواة في المنطقة هو إيجاد نهج وآليات لتذليل المصاعب التي تواجهها عمليّات التوظيف، ومواكبة الثورة الصناعيّة الرابعة، الأمر الذي يتطلب الانفتاح على شراكات وأنشطة تعاون جديدة. وأضافت: “من هنا، ستشكّل هذه المبادرة جسرًا بين أصحاب المصلحة الرئيسيين في القطاع الخاص والشابات والشباب الذين يبحثون عن فرص في المنطقة العربيّة”.
وسيعمل الشركاء في “جُسور” على تيسير الحوار بين الشباب وأرباب العمل وتوفير الفرص التدريبية لتلبية المتطلبات المتغيّرة لسوق العمل؛ وتحديد السلوكيّات التمييزية إزاء النساء وذوي الإعاقة في سوق العمل من أجل التصدّي لها.
وتخللت جلسة إطلاق المبادرة مداخلات لكل من الأمين العام لاتحاد الغرف العربيّة خالد حنفي؛ ومدير البحوث في اتحاد المصارف العربية علي عوده؛ والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة فاركو للأدوية شيرين حلمي؛ ومديرة تطوير الأعمال في شركة أكواباور سارة الحارثي؛ ورئيس فريق مستقبل سوق العمل في الإسكوا سليم عراجي. كما تمّ إطلاق مبادرتي “جسور الأردن” و “جسور لبنان”.
